Legal entities are where your payment-related and tax-related information is housed. Here you can create a new legal entity or edit existing legal entities.
Create a Legal Entity
From the left navigation bar, select [Menu] → Finance.
From the left navigation menu, select Settings → Legal Entities.
In the top right corner, select Create Legal Entity.
Fill out the relevant information and select Save.
Have a look at the Legal Entities form reference below for more information on the fields needed.

Name | Enter your legal entity name into the field. |

Organization Type | Select the type of business model from the drop list of options, e.g. Non-profit, Individual etc.. |
EIN/SSN/Foreign Tax Id | If you are US-based and your organization is registered in the US, enter your Employer Identification Number (EIN) or your Social Security Number (SSN). If you are US-based and your organization is registered outside of the US, enter your Foreign Tax ID . If you are not US-based, enter "n/a" and our financial team will reach out to you if more information is needed. |
Indirect Tax | [Toggle on] this section if you are operating your impact.com program in a country that levies an indirect tax and provide the following information:

Funding Account Currency | Select the currency for the default funding account associated with this legal entity from the drop-down list. This option is only available when creating a legal entity and cannot be edited thereafter. |
From the left navigation bar, select [Menu] → Finance.
From the left navigation menu, select Settings → Legal Entities.
Hover over the relevant legal entity and select Edit.
You can now edit the tax information and billing address information and select Save once done.
