Legal entities are where your payment-related and tax-related information is housed. Here you can create a new legal entity or edit existing legal entities.
Create a Legal Entity
From the top navigation bar, select your balance → Settings.
From the left navigation menu, under Settings, select Legal Entities.
In the top right corner, select Create Legal Entity.
Fill out the relevant information and select Save.
See the Legal Entities form reference below for more information on the fields.

Name | Enter your legal entity name into the field. |
Billing Address |

Organization Type | Select the type of business model from the drop list of options, e.g. Non-profit, Individual etc.. |
EIN/SSN/Foreign Tax Id | If you are US-based and your organization is registered in the US, enter your Employer Identification Number If you are US-based and your organization is registered outside of the US, enter your Foreign Tax ID If you are not US-based, enter "n/a" and our financial team will reach out to you if more information is needed. |

Funding Account Currency | Select the currency for the default funding account associated with this legal entity from the drop-down list. This option is only available when creating a legal entity and cannot be edited thereafter. |

From the top navigation bar, select your balance → Settings.
From the left navigation menu, under Settings, select Legal Entities.
Hover over the relevant legal entity and select Edit.

You can now edit the tax information and billing address information and select Save once done.
