Set a Custom Reporting Calendar

If your reporting cycle does not begin on Monday for weekly cycles, the 1st of each month for monthly cycles, or January for yearly cycles, you should set a custom reporting calendar. Doing so won't affect your scheduled reports.

Set a custom reporting calendar

This feature is only accessible to specific impact.com editions or add-ons. Contact us to upgrade your account and get access!
  1. From the left navigation menu, select ellipsis-v-solid.svg [Menu] → Settings.

  2. On the left, under Tools, select Customized Reporting Calendar.

  3. Optionally, use the Select start day of custom week angle-down-solid.svg [Drop-down menu] to set the start day of your reporting week.

  4. Under Upload your calendar file, select Choose File, then upload your calendar file in .CSV or .XLSX format.

    • See the File requirements section below to view what your file must contain.

  5. Select Next.

  6. Review that your custom calendar was processed correctly, then select Save.

    • If your calendar file has incompatibility issues, you'll need to correct the file before saving it.

  7. Once uploaded, return to the Customized Reporting Calendar screen .

    • Optionally, you can also Download the file you uploaded, Delete your custom calendar, or Replace the calendar file at any time.

Important: Once the final month of your custom calendar passes, custom reports will default to standard calendar cycles and reporting cadences. To maintain alignment with your preferred reporting schedule, be sure to upload updated custom calendar files regularly.

File requirements

Your .CSV file must include:

  • The Year, Month, and Start Date for each month of your reporting calendar in separate columns. Select Show/hide file format details for more information.

  • At least 13 consecutive months of custom reporting calendar dates. For example, the minimum upload would be 13 rows covering custom dates from January 2022 to January 2023.

  • 13, 24, 36, or 48 months, etc., going up in multiples of 12 months from 24 months onwards.

  • Future custom reporting calendar dates if you plan to use predictive reporting or compare data from 2 different time periods.

  • If you want to view historical performance data and trends that align with your custom reporting calendar, you must include the custom calendar data for historical time periods.
